UPDATE- Foxy has been adopted thanks to the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons who accepted her into their program and provided the corrective eye surgery she needed.

* Foxy is a 1 year old female Labrador Retriever. Foxy is housebroken and crate trained and is learning to play fetch, she loves people and other dogs. She needs Bilateral Entropion surgery on both eyes before she will be ready for adoption. Due to the severity of her condition, Foxy will need to be taken to a Veterinary Ophthalmologist out of state. “Entropion is a disorder of the eyelids in dogs and occurs when the eyelids roll in toward the eye. Entropian can occur in one or both eyes and is often a result of breed disposition or heredity. The hair on the surface of the eyelid rubs against the surface of the eye and can cause irritation, ulcers and vision loss.”

Annie was in her late 20’s when she arrived at Dog4U, Inc. malnourished and neglected. She stayed with us for three years and lived out the remainder of her life here, passing away this winter after a month long battle with an eye ulcer. Thank you to South Carolina Equine Associates and the University of Georgia Large Animal Teaching Hospital for giving her the best chance available. We miss miss her beyond words.

Elsie needs further surgery to her missing eye before she will be up for adoption. Can you help?
